Welcome Back School Counselors!
Welcome to a brand-new school year! We hope you had the chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time away before jumping back into another exciting year of supporting students.
We are thrilled to be serving as your Co-Presidents this year. While this is our first time leading together, each of us has previously served as MCSCA President. We're excited to combine our experience with some fresh ideas as we work to renew, refresh, and strengthen our association.
One important update for this year is our membership process. In the past, we've maintained rolling membership throughout the year. However, with more than 800 members on our roster and often fewer than 100 members attending meetings, it's time for a new approach that helps us better plan and serve our membership.
We will have 2 membership drives this year: Fall and Winter. Members who join during the fall membership window will receive the first opportunity to register for the Good Ideas Conference before registration opens more broadly. Please use the form below to complete your membership and pay your dues. To prevent processing delays, please ensure your full name is included on all payments so we can match them to your membership application. Please note that retirees must also submit a completed application :
2026-2027 MCSCA Membership Application (Please read the form carefully, as our Venmo has changed)
Our goal is simple: create meaningful professional learning, strengthen connections among counselors across Monmouth County, and continue making MCSCA an organization you're excited to be part of.
We're looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new colleagues, and making this a fantastic year together!
Wishing you a wonderful start to the school year,
Heather Frederick
